Leger Holidays back on track with live events

Escorted tours operator Leger Holidays is back on track with breaks to watch live events, after two years of disruption amid the pandemic.

Its popular European motorsport breaks are on sale again and bookings have opened for weekend breaks to the 2023 Belgian, Italian, Spanish and Monaco Grand Prix, along with the famous endurance event, 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Limited availability remains for the 2022 Formula One Grand Prix events in Monaco and Italy.

The 2023 motorsport packages all include entry tickets with the option to upgrade; hotel accommodation with breakfast; coach transfers to the race circuits; and some have optional excursions.

The Monaco Grand Prix, Belgian Grand Prix and 24 Hours of Le Mans packages are offered with coach travel from the UK.

The other packages have included flights or clients can make their own travel arrangements to destination, with optional airport transfers.

Ashley Dellow, Leger Shearings Group’s head of retail sales, said: “After the disruption and cancellations made to live events over the past two years, it’s great that Leger Holidays has finally been able to resume its Live Events range of sporting, musical and other spectacular annual events, such as the Venice Carnival.

“The motor racing breaks have always been very popular and appeal to all age groups – fans are not pigeon-holed into any demographic.

“Travel agents can do very well selling these short breaks to larger family or friendship groups.”

A four-day break to the Belgian Grand Prix in August 2023 costs from £599, including coach travel and three nights’ B&B accommodation, and entry tickets to the Belgian Grand Prix qualifying session and race day

Other breaks featured by Leger Holidays in its Live Events range include Edinburgh Military Tattoo, Stirling & The Trossachs; The Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe & Paris; The ‘Rhine in Flames’ Festival; the Venice Carnival; Amsterdam Festive Season & Light Festival; St Patrick’s Day in Dublin & Ireland’s Ancient East; and the Nice Carnival.
